Coaster Set - April Showers

Taken from Wright’s graphic design for a Liberty magazine cover (1927-1928) that was never published, this image is an abstract version of springtime rain. The lively combination of squares on a 45 degree angle and the repetitive pattern of circles at the intersections were possibly inspired by Japanese prints he collected.
