Wright's philosophy of "Learning the Art of Seeing," is a source of inspiration for Effi Casey's paintings, which incorporate Nature Patterns like the ones found in Wright's architectural and decorative designs—and form the foundation of her card designs.

While assisting painter Hans Purrmann in Switzerland, Effi became fascinated by the Taliesin Fellowship, a diverse community of artists and architects, and joined in 1966. She later married Taliesin architect Tom Casey and continues supporting Frank Lloyd Wright's legacy while creating art at Taliesin and Taliesin West.
